凱利網(wǎng)絡(luò)技術(shù)有限公司要招聘一名經(jīng)理助理，公司名氣很大，是家中外合資企業(yè)，月薪上萬，應(yīng)聘者如云，搏士學(xué)位的應(yīng)聘者就十多個。我只是一個剛畢業(yè)的本科大學(xué)生，貌不出眾，才不壓人，但為了生計(jì)，我還是報(bào)了名。什么事都要試一試，重在參與嘛。
那天早上，我匆匆來到凱利網(wǎng)絡(luò)技術(shù)有限公司應(yīng)聘，公司里沒有一張熟悉的面孔，應(yīng)聘的又是一個有多個候選人的職位，緊張的程度可想而知。
在電梯里只有我和另外一個女孩子，當(dāng)我按下9之后，她并沒有伸手按樓層鍵，我因此留意了一下這位也許和我到同一樓層的女孩，她的手上抱著兩包文件，她正在試圖把兩包東西轉(zhuǎn)移到一只手上，我微笑著詢問她是否需要幫忙，她點(diǎn)了點(diǎn)頭，使勁盯著19的按鈕看，這是一個不需要語言的交流，我為她按亮了19層的按鈕。 這中間大概只有幾十秒鐘的時間，我們彼此微笑著點(diǎn)頭道別，她的目光里流露著對我感激和贊許。
不一會兒，我就來到了考場旁的等候室，其它的應(yīng)試者也陸陸續(xù)續(xù)地來了，她們有的在梳妝打扮，有的在閉目養(yǎng)神，還有的拿著手機(jī)在瀏覽新聞。我找了一個安靜的位置坐下來靜候。不斷有人從面試室進(jìn)出，他們有的表情凝重，有的神情放松。雖說是抱著試一試的心理，但我還是感到了前所未有的緊張。
終于輪到我了，我擦了擦手心的汗，走向面試房間。房間的門半掩著，我輕輕地敲開門。房間大而簡潔，里面布置了兩張桌子和四把椅子。對面坐著3位考官，兩女一男，當(dāng)我看到最左邊的那位考官的時候，我吃一驚——這不正是我在電梯里碰見的那個女孩嗎，她竟然是考官。在我看他的時候，她也看了我一眼，顯得有點(diǎn)吃驚，但隨即恢復(fù)了常態(tài)。坐在中間的另一個考官，問了我?guī)椎李}，考察我對時事的看法，這些題很難，但我自認(rèn)為能答道85%。那位與我有一面之緣的.再一次贊許地點(diǎn)了點(diǎn)頭。
可是天有不測風(fēng)云，那位主考官似乎對我的回答不是很滿意，他讓我回去等消息。正當(dāng)我沮喪時，那個在電梯里碰見的女孩突然朝那個主考比劃了幾下，似乎是手語，那個主考一聽，臉上浮現(xiàn)了贊許的表情，他高興地說：“恭喜你，你被錄用了！”這時，那個包括那個女孩在內(nèi)的三個考官站起來，與我逐個握手。我強(qiáng)忍著心中的喜悅，受寵若驚地問：為什么錄取我？

“I had another bad dream,” she told her fiancé. “It was about you again. You and your ex-girlfriend were kissing. I yelled at you to stop it. You looked right at me, and then you laughed at me! She laughed, too. Then you both went back to kissing. I tried not to watch, but when I covered my eyes, something pulled my hands away. I tried to leave, but my feet were glued to the ground. Finally, I woke up. Of course, it was very difficult to get back to sleep.
“I had to drive home from Las Vegas this morning. It’s a wonder I didn’t crash 50 times. Instead of seeing traffic in front of me, all I saw was you and her. I can’t take any more dreams like this. We’re going to have to break up. We can be friends, but just friends. That way, I won’t be jealous anymore, and I won’t have these bad dreams anymore.”
“Why didn’t you call me up and tell me about your dream?” he asked. “They say that the more you talk about bad dreams, the sooner you’ll stop having them.”
She disagreed. She thought that the only solution was to break up and be just friends. She loved him, but these dreams had become so frequent that she was actually afraid to go to sleep. She was losing weight and having stomachaches from the stress.
He didn’t know what to do. He wanted her to have pleasant dreams. He wanted her to have a life without stress. He wanted her to be his wife. This was it, she repeated; if she had just one more bad dream, they were through. He squeezed her hand, but said nothing.

This weekend I bought an English-Chinese dictionary in a bookstore near my home since its cover is elaborately designed. But when I went home and read carefully, I found that the several pages of the dictionary have been cracked and befouled. What is worse, the misprints spread everywhere in the dictionary and seriously affect my comprehension. Since there was such damage and misprint to the dictionary, I went to the bookstore to require for a replace. But to my surprise, the staff of the bookstore turn down my request rudely and even denied the poor quality of the dictionary.
It goes without saying that today's face-paced and market-oriented economy calls for much higher standard for service industry. However, to my regret, many of the commercials fail to achieve this standard and the quality of the staff needs to be improved. It's self-evident that the poor quality of practitioners in the service industry will not only deeply disappoint customers but also hamper the development of our country's economy. As a result, I expect your newspaper to appeal to the service industry to attach more importance to the service improvement.
