Dress properly. While everyone wants to give an impressive debut on the first date, you should avoid wearing something too bizarre to be accepted. If you are still in school, a sportswear can fulfill your purpose. For businessman or grownups, casual clothes are recommended. Never put up your working uniforms,no matter how well you like that Armani suit. It is no work. A few accessories such as a pair of sunglasses or silver loops on the wrist can add up to the romance sphere.
Take a bath before dating. And if you like, spray a little perfume, but unless you＇re sure that he or she likes the smell,don＇t use ones that are too strong.
Watch your manner. You＇re no prince of the Scotland nor Cinderella in the legend. Proper manners will ensure a lasting relationship while bad ones scare away your sweetheart. And do make sure you do not boast about your fortune, for, not everyone are green addicts. And your way of smiling, or your greatestoath, should neither be "coy" nor "by St. Loy!" after the nun in Chaucer.

Part-time Jobs for College Students
Nowadays, many college boys and girls take part-time jobs in their spare time. Some are employed by the companies near the campus, working as office clerks or computer programmers. Others have become salespersons for the commercial businesses. Foreign language students may serve as interpreters or translators where international cooperation is carried out. Or they may become tour guides for travel agencies. Also, it is a common practice for girl students to become governesses helping children with their school work in their homes.
Many people, including some professors and parents, make no secret of their disapproval of this. On the one hand, they argue that academic pursuit is the main task for college students and that taking part-time jobs distracts their attention and consumes a lot of energy needed. On the other hand, professors and parents tend to believe that college boys and girls need to further cultivate their personality and develop their sense of responsibility before they can be ready for any serious jobs.
But in my opinion, every coin has two sides. It is true that the students’ major task is to study. It is also true that taking part-time jobs will take a lot of time and energy. However, if the students can learn to arrange their time properly, the professors and parents might as well be relieved from all their worries. As many students take jobs related to their fields of study, they can gain some first-hand experience instead of being distracted from their study. Moreover, treated as full adults on their part-time jobs, they will develop their sense of responsibility very soon. When they finally graduate, they will find themselves in a more agreeable social environment.

有一天，在寫英語作業(yè)的時(shí)候，我簡直要被這枯燥而又“無味”的英語給弄煩了，我開始想：記單詞這么難，難道就沒有解決的辦法了嗎？如果單詞記住了，可過了幾天又忘了那又怎么辦？我?guī)е@兩個(gè)百思不得其解的問題去請教媽媽，媽媽走到我的書桌旁，看著我已經(jīng)寫了二十多遍的單詞，坐下來，語重心長地對我說：“學(xué)英語要講究方法，不能急于求成，要看平時(shí)的積累。要是講到記單詞，我告訴你幾個(gè)竅門兒：
1、寫單詞的時(shí)候要多用心記，寫幾遍以后要‘回過頭’看看對不對，要保證寫單詞的'準(zhǔn)確性。
2、記單詞要一邊念一邊寫，這樣可以加深對單詞的印象。

媽媽也很著急，要我上課認(rèn)真聽講，回家后還每天督促我讀呀背呀。盡管我把老師每天講的新單詞都認(rèn)認(rèn)真真地記了下來，可是老師發(fā)下來的英語作業(yè)中，有很多別的小朋友學(xué)過的單詞我卻不認(rèn)識，既不知道意思，又不知道該怎么讀。
有一天，我在做英語作業(yè)的時(shí)候，又遇到一個(gè)英語單詞“goggles”。我既不知道它的意思，又不知道怎樣讀。正在我手足無措的時(shí)候，我看見爸爸在用電腦查東西。電腦真是神奇，不知道的東西一會(huì)兒就查到了。我問爸爸：“爸爸，我不知道的英語單詞，能在電腦查到嗎？”爸爸回答：“能，你自己來找找吧�！卑职终f著，就讓我坐到了電腦前。我發(fā)現(xiàn)電腦里有個(gè)軟件叫“金山詞霸”。我打開“金山詞霸”，把“goggles”這個(gè)單詞輸進(jìn)去，然后點(diǎn)擊查詢，一看，我恍然大悟，原來“goggles”是護(hù)目鏡的意思��！單詞后面有個(gè)小喇叭，按一下還能發(fā)出單詞的'讀音來。我高興極了，一邊不停地按，一邊跟著電腦讀。就這樣，在電腦的幫助下，我學(xué)會(huì)了“goggles”這個(gè)英語單詞。從此以后，“金山詞霸”成了我的第二個(gè)英語老師，一遇到不認(rèn)識的英語單詞，我就找它幫忙。慢慢地，我的英語水平提高了，上一次英語考試，我還考了全班的第三名呢！
