Good morning, ladies and gentlemen :
My name is . I’m a student of Great 7 from middle school. I ’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech today. My topic is “I love English”.
English is now used everywhere in the world. It has become the most common language on Internet and for international trade. More and more people has begun to learn English now .

I love English. I hope I can travel around the world one day. I want to go to America, I also want to go to London. If I can ride my bike in New York University, how happy I’ll be!
I love English. I hope I can make friends with many people from different countries. I will introduce China to them proudly in English, Such as Great Wall and the Summer Palace.
I know Rome was not built in a day. I believe that I can speak English very well one day if I can study hard. At that time, my dream will come ture.
That’s all. Thanks for your listening!

“Depend on yourself” is what nature says to every man. Parents can help you. Teachers can help you. others still can help you. But all these only help you to help yourself
“自立”是自然對每個(gè)人的要求。也許你的父母、老師能夠幫助你,其他人也可以幫助你,但是所有這些人都只是幫你更加自主、自立。
There have been many men in history. But many of them were very poor in childhood, and no uncles, aunts or friends to help them. Schools were few. They could not depend duanwenw upon them for an education. They saw how it was and set to work with all their strength to know something. They worked their own way till they became well-known.
One of the most famous teachers in England used to tell his pupils, ”I can not make worthy men of you, but I can duanwenw help make men of yourself.”
有一位著名的英國老師曾經(jīng)告誡他的學(xué)生:“我無法使你們出人頭地,但是我可以幫你們造就自己!
Some young men don't try their best to make themselves valuable to human beings. They can never gain achievement unless they see their weak points and change their course. They are nothing now, and will be nothing as long as they live, unless they accept the advice of their parents and teachers, and depend on their own efforts.
Dear teachers, dear students, hello everyone!
In our real life, everyone will have a successful experience, there are also encountered the bitter failure, success, a brilliant smile on his face; Encountered setbacks, some defeat, have a plenty of efforts to forge ahead, to meet difficulties. For our students, how should we face the success and failure of study and life?
This leads to the theme I want to talk about today - " victory is not arrogant defeat not lose heart". The ancients once said, " the winner is not proud, the loser is not discouraged. " speak is this truth, when you after their own efforts to succeed, must not be complacent, proud of the world, defiant, but should summarize the successful experience, make persistent efforts, to higher and better goals and strive for; When you encounter setbacks and failures, never lose heart, broken pot broken fall, but should carefully check what you do, to find out the reason, constantly sum up, will be from a failure to success. Failure is not terrible, terrible is that we can't realize their own shortcomings.
We often say that " failure is the mother of success", is on the road to success, failure is sometimes inevitable, the great inventor Edison is not after countless failures to success? After countless failures - success, in failure in success, finally invented the electric light. Edison is such, the Athens Olympic champion Liu Xiang is the same, he is also after countless failures to achieve such a remarkable record, achieved the Asian sprint gold medal zero breakthrough, for the Chinese people for the light, also for the Asian people for the light! But to learn from failure, learn from successful people, from the psychological understanding of failure is temporary, as long as you can adjust the state of mind, find out the problem, in addition to their hard work, you will be able to achieve their satisfactory results.
We have just had the mid-term exam, because each student's foundation is not the same, some students through their own efforts to achieve excellent results, and some students feel their grades are not ideal, did not reach their goals. So there are two kinds of mentality of students. Good examination with the society rejoiced, but not proud, but also to continue to move forward; Test temporarily irrational students don't pessimistic disappointment, leak to fill a vacancy, will eventually achieve excellent results. What I want to tell you is that the test is just a means of testing, through which you reflect the degree of knowledge you have learned since the beginning of the school, the level of scores can only represent the past, not represent the future. As long as you can analyze the reasons for your failure from the exam, summed up their shortcomings, I believe that in the future test you will be in the top.
thank you.
英語演講稿4
“once upon a time, there was a king who had a daughter as beautiful as a blooming rose. to all the suitors who came to the king's palace to ask for the hand of the princess, the old king assigned three tasks to be accomplished, each next to impossible. one day, into the king's palace came a handsome young prince..." well, you know the rest. the three tasks may be different in different versions, but the main plot is always the same, with the prince claiming the princess's hand triumphantly.
and the ending is always the same, finishing with the line "and they live happily every after."
why aren't we tired of something so fanciful, so unrealistic, and, i would say, so unimaginative? how can a story like that endure generations of repetition`? because, i think, it is a typical success story. it is highly philosophical and symbolic. by implication, we see a 4-step definition of success: 1 ) a goal to be set. as represented by the beautiful princess; 2 ) challenges to be met, as represented by the three tasks; 3 ) the process of surmounting difficulties, as represented by the ordeals the youth goes through; and 4 ) the reward of success, as represented by the happy marriage.
the story not only caters to everyone's inward yearning for success, but also emphasizes the inseparability of the process and the result. the reward of success will be much amplified if the path leading towards it is treacherous, and vice versa. if a person inherits his father's millions and leads an easy life, he is not a successful person even in material terms, because there are no difficulties involved in his achieving affluence. the term "success", to be sure. will not sit still for easy definition. but as i understand it, the true meaning of success entails a combination of both the process and the satisfactory result of an endeavor. to clarify my view, let me give another analogy.
if we changed the rules of football, greatly enlarged the goal and sent away david seaman or any other goal keeper, so that another david, namely david beckham, could score easily, then scoring would not give him the thrill of accomplishment and the joy that it brings. if we further changed the rules by not allowing arsenal's defenders to defend, so that beckham needed only to lift a finger, actually a toe, to score, then there would be no game at all, because the meaning of winning would have disappeared. in accepting the challenge, in surmounting the difficulties and in enduring the hardship, success acquires its value. the sense of attainment varies in proportion to the degree of difficulties on overcomes.

Ronald Reagan: Remarks at the Brandenburg GateThank you.
Thank you, very much.
Chancellor Kohl, Governing Mayor Diepgen, ladies and gentlemen: Twenty four years ago, President John F.
Kennedy visited Berlin, and speaking to the people of this city and the world at the city hall.
Well since then two other presidents have come, each in his turn to Berlin.
And today, I, myself, make my second visit to your city.We come to Berlin, we American Presidents, because its our duty to speak in this place of freedom.
But I must confess, we’re drawn here by other things as well; by the feeling of history in this city -- more than 500 years older than our own nation; by the beauty of the Grunewald and the Teirgarten; most of all, by your courage and determination.
Perhaps the composer, Paul Linke, understood something about American Presidents.
You see, like so many presidents before me, I come here today because wherever I go, whatever I do: “Ich hab noch einen hoffer in Berlin” [I still have a suitcase in Berlin.]Our gathering today is being broadcast throughout Western Europe and North America.om their air-raid shelters to find devastation.
Thousands of miles away, the people of the United States reached out to help.
And in 1947 Secretary of State -- as youve been told --George Marshall announced the creation of what would become known as the Marshall Plan.
Speaking precisely 40 years ago this month, he said: Our policy is directed not against any country or doctrine, but against hunger, poverty, desperation, and chaos. In the Reichstag a few moments ago, I saw a display commemorating this 40th anniversary of the Marshall Plan.
I was struck by the sign on a burnt-out, gutted structure that was being rebuilt.
I understand that Berliners of my own generation can remember seeing signs like it dotted throughout the western sectors of the city.
The sign read simply: The Marshall Plan is helping here to strengthen the free world.
A strong, free world in the West, that dream became real.
Japan rose from ruin to become an economic giant.
Adenauer, Erhard, Reuter, and other leaders understood the practical importance of liberty -- that just as truth can flourish only when the journalist is given freedom of speech, so prosperity can come about only when the farmer and businessman enjoy economic freedom.
From 1950 to 1960 alone, the standard of living in West Germany and Berlin doubled.Where four decades ago there was rubble, today in West Berlin there is the greatest industrial output of any city in Germany -- busy office blocks, fine homes and apartments, proud avenues, and the spreading lawns of parkland.
Where a citys culture seemed to have been destroyed, today there are two great universities, orchestras and an opera, countless theaters, and museums.
Where there was want, today theres abundance -- food, clothing, automobiles -- the wonderful goods of the Kudamm.
From devastation, from utter ruin, you Berliners have, in freedom, rebuilt a city that once again ranks as one of the greatest on earth.
The Soviets may have had other plans.
But my friends, there were a few things the Soviets didnt count on -- Berliner Herz, Berliner Humor, ja, und Berliner Schnauze.
[Berliner heart, Berliner humor, yes, and a Berliner Schnauze.**]In the 1950s -- In the 1950s Khrushchev predicted: We will bury you.
But in the West today, we see a free world that has achieved a level of prosperity and well-being unprecedented in all human history.
In the Communist world, we see failure, technological backwardness, declining standards of health, *even want of the most basic kind -- too little food.
Even today, the Soviet Union still cannot feed itself.
After these four decades, then, there stands before the entire world one great and inescapable conclusion: Freedom leads to prosperity.
Freedom replaces the ancient hatreds among the nations with comity and peace.
Freedom is the victor.*And now -- now the Soviets themselves may, in a limited way, be coming to understand the importance of freedom.
We hear much from Moscow about a new policy of reform and openness.
Some political prisoners have been released.
Certain foreign news broadcasts are no longer being jammed.
Some economic enterprises have been permitted to operate with greater freedom from state control.*Are these the beginnings of profound changes in the Soviet state? Or are they token gestures, intended to raise false hopes in the West, *or to strengthen the Soviet system without changing it? We welcome change and openness; for we believe that freedom and security go together, that the advance of human liberty -- the advance of human liberty can only strengthen the cause of world peace. There is one sign the Soviets can make that would be unmistakable, that would advance dramatically the cause of freedom and peace.
General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization: Come here to this gate.
Mr.Gorbachev, open this gate.
Mr.Gorbachev -- Mr.Gorbachev, tear down this wall!I understand the fear of war and the pain of division that afflict this continent, and I pledge to you my countrys efforts to help overcome these burdens.
To be sure, we in the West must resist Soviet expansion.
So, we must maintain defenses of unassailable strength.
Yet we seek peace; so we must strive to reduce arms on both sides.
Beginning 10 years ago, the Soviets challenged the Western alliance with a grave new threat, hundreds of new and more deadly SS-20 nuclear missiles capable of striking every capital in Europe.
The Western alliance responded by committing itself to a counter-deployment (unless the Soviets agreed to negotiate a better solution) -- namely, the elimination of such weapons on both sides.
For many months, the Soviets refused to bargain in earnestness.
As the alliance, in turn, prepared to go forward with its counter-deployment, there were difficult days, days of protests like those during my 1982 visit to this city; and the Soviets later walked away from the table. But through it all, the alliance held firm.
And I invite those who protested then -- I invite those who protest today -- to mark this fact: Because we remained strong, the Soviets came back to the table.
Because we remained strong, today we have within reach the possibility, not merely of limiting the growth of arms, but of eliminating, for the first time, an entire class of nuclear weapons from the face of the earth. As I speak, NATO ministers are meeting in Iceland to review the progress of our proposals for eliminating these weapons.
At the talks in Geneva, we have also proposed deep cuts in strategic offensive weapons.
And the Western allies have likewise made far-reaching proposals to reduce the danger of conventional war and to place a total ban on chemical weapons.
While we pursue these arms reductions, I pledge to you that we will maintain the capacity to deter Soviet aggression at any level at which it might occur.
And in cooperation with many of our allies, the United States is pursuing the Strategic Defense Initiative -- research to base deterrence not on the threat of offensive retaliation, but on defenses that truly defend; on systems, in short, that will not target populations, but shield them.
By these means we seek to increase the safety of Europe and all the world.
But we must remember a crucial fact: East and West do not mistrust each other because we are armed; we are armed because we mistrust each other.
And our differences are not about weapons but about liberty.
When President Kennedy spoke at the City Hall those 24 years ago, freedom was encircled; Berlin was under siege.
And today, despite all the pressures upon this city, Berlin stands secure in its liberty.
And freedom itself is transforming the globe. In the Philippines, in South and Central America, democracy has been given a rebirth.
Throughout the Pacific, free markets are working miracle after miracle of economic growth.
In the industrialized nations, a technological revolution is taking place, a revolution marked by rapid, dramatic advances in computers and telecommunications.
In Europe, only one nation and those it controls refuse to join the community of freedom.
Yet in this age of redoubled economic growth, of information and innovation, the Soviet Union faces a choice: It must make fundamental changes, or it will become obsolete.Today thus represents a moment of hope.
We in the West stand ready to cooperate with the East to promote true openness, to break down barriers that separate people, to create a safer, freer world.
And surely there is no better place than Berlin, the meeting place of East and West, to make a start.
Free people of Berlin: Today, as in the past, the United States stands for the strict observance and full implementation of all parts of the Four Power Agreement of 1971.
Let us use this occasion, the 750th anniversary of this city, to usher in a new era, to seek a still fuller, richer life for the Berlin of the future.
Together, let us maintain and develop the ties between the Federal Republic and the Western sectors of Berlin, which is permitted by the 1971 agreement.
And I invite Mr.Gorbachev: Let us work to bring the Eastern and Western parts of the city closer together, so that all the inhabitants of all Berlin can enjoy the benefits that come with life in one of the great cities of the world. To open Berlin still further to all Europe, East and West, let us expand the vital air access to this city, finding ways of making commercial air service to Berlin more convenient, more comfortable, and more economical.
We look to the day when West Berlin can become one of the chief aviation hubs in all central Europe.
With -- with our French and British partners, the United States is prepared to help bring international meetings to Berlin.
It would be only fitting for Berlin to serve as the site of United Nations meetings, or world conferences on human rights and arms control or other issues that call for international cooperation. There is no better way to establish hope for the future than to enlighten young minds, and we would be honored to sponsor summer youth exchanges, cultural events, and other programs for young Berliners from the East.
Our French and British friends, Im certain, will do the same.
And its my hope that an authority can be found in East Berlin to sponsor visits from young people of the Western sectors.
One final proposal, one close to my heart: Sport represents a source of enjoyment and ennoblement, and you may have noted that the Republic of Korea -- South Korea -- has offered to permit certain events of the 1988 Olympics to take place in the North.
International sports competitions of all kinds could take place in both parts of this city.
And what better way to demonstrate to the world the openness of this city than to offer in some future year to hold the Olympic games here in Berlin, East and West.In these four decades, as I have said, you Berliners have built a great city.
Youve done so in spite of threats -- the Soviet attempts to impose the East-mark, the blockade.
Today the city thrives in spite of the challenges implicit in the very presence of this wall.
What keeps you here? Certainly theres a great deal to be said for your fortitude, for your defiant courage.
But I believe theres something deeper, something that involves Berlins whole look and feel and way of life -- not mere sentiment.
No one could live long in Berlin without being completely disabused of illusions.
Something, instead, that has seen the difficulties of life in Berlin but chose to accept them, that continues to build this good and proud city in contrast to a surrounding totalitarian presence, that refuses to release human energies or aspirations, something that speaks with a powerful voice of affirmation, that says yes to this city, yes to the future, yes to freedom.
In a word, I would submit that what keeps you in Berlin is love.Love both profound and abiding.
Perhaps this gets to the root of the matter, to the most fundamental distinction of all between East and West.
The totalitarian world produces backwardness because it does such violence to the spirit, thwarting the human impulse to create, to enjoy, to worship.
The totalitarian world finds even symbols of love and of worship an affront.
Years ago, before the East Germans began rebuilding their churches, they erected a secular structure: the television tower at Alexander Platz.
Virtually ever since, the authorities have been working to correct what they view as the towers one major flaw: treating the glass sphere at the top with paints and chemicals of every kind.
Yet even today when the sun strikes that sphere, that sphere that towers over all Berlin, the light makes the sign of the cross.
There in Berlin, like the city itself, symbols of love, symbols of worship, cannot be suppressed.
As I looked out a moment ago from the Reichstag, that embodiment of German unity, I noticed words crudely spray-painted upon the wall, perhaps by a young Berliner: This wall will fall.
Beliefs become reality.Yes, across Europe, this wall will fall, for it cannot withstand faith; it cannot withstand the truth.
The wall cannot withstand freedom.
And I would like, before I close, to say one word.
I have read, and I have been questioned since Ive been here about certain demonstrations against my coming.
And I would like to say just one thing, and to those who demonstrate so.
I wonder if they have ever asked themselves that if they should have the kind of government they apparently seek, no one would ever be able to do what theyre doing again.Thank you and God bless you all.
Thank you.

For this test, first of all, we should be confident, should take firm and strong pace, a sunny smile, showing vigorous and vigorous spirit. Only in this way can we have enough courage to cross a road blockade on learning; only in this way, we have energy down learning on a powerful fortress; only in this way can we climb up the fall, to meet the learning on the challenge again and again.
Secondly, it should maintain a good mood, a lot of students on the examination with a psychological tension and fear, in fact, the exam is just a special form of homework, its purpose is to help us address gaps and adjust the strategy, in order to better carry out the next step of learning. Therefore, we should take in a good mood again. Of course, but also to use the scientific learning method, to improve the efficiency and quality of learning, so usually learn something through the review into their own real knowledge.
We all know: the examination to examine not only the learning of knowledge and ability, but also test the psychological quality and coping skills. The difficulties we are nervous, impetuous is the enemy of success. When we face down the papers, everyone should be a military family, not only have the strategic operation style, jueshengqianli also, there must be a tactical meticulous spirit. Very careful in reckoning, here, I hope the students can be used to test the optimal strategies and techniques, and make a satisfactory answer.
Life can have a few back stroke? Thousands of pairs of eyes looking at us, in order to hope, in order to win, in order to ideals, we dare to fight on the field, learning must also be brave to fight!
Success comes from hard work!

e or disagree: Universities should abolish the practice of cutting off the electricity at dormitory at night.
I agree with it. As a student, I should say, university shouldn't cut off electricity at dormitory at night. The original intention for university to cut off electricity is to ensure our rest for some students will stay up very late if there is nothing to limit them. However, these students are minority. Most students have regular timetable. What more, we are now already in university, I think we should be treated like high school students any longer. Especially in summer hot days, no electricity at night would be a nightmare to all students. We can't fall asleep without electric fans. I can't just imagine that. Universities should think more for their students and trust their self-control.
say music training in college is unnecessary, while others do not believe so. What is your opinion on this issue?
I should say, music training in college is necessary, especially for non-art students. To be honest, nowadays?college students are also under much pressure. We have to attend many complex courses everyday. Many students get tired and gloomy. Then, if there is a music course, it will greatly release our bad mood. And we will have a nice mood and more energy to continue our study. Besides, it's commonly believed that music training can cultivate people's character. It will make people more calm and wise as well as elegant. In fact, nowadays, many parents send their children to attend music course at a very young age. These parents hope their children will have a elegant and smart mind. Many of today's students in university didn't have adequate music training at their former school. If university can open related music course, it will be of great use for students?cultivation.

Ladies and Gentlemen: My topic is Honesty. As a correspondent of the Qingdao Morning News, I visited Dr. James Gilman, the President of the International Committee for Marco Polo Studies in England. In this picture, this is James, and this is me and we are looking at a dragon’s tooth. This is a true story. /chuzhong/chusan/ 65 years ago, James lived in Qingdao. Then he was only 5 years old. He often visited the Aquarium and was fascinated by a creature on display there, which he thought was a dragon. He was afraid of its sharp teeth and wanted one to keep as a treasure. In the late 1930s, when the Japanese occupied Qingdao, his family had to leave.
On his last day in Qingdao, he ran to the Aquarium and pulled out one of the teeth from the dragon’s mouth. He kept the tooth for the next 65 years, but the feeling of guilt at having stolen it was there in the background all through his life. It was always on his conscience, and the feeling intensified as he became older. Finally he decided to put right his childish error. In 20xx, he visited Qingdao and returned it to the Aquarium with his sincere apologies. He received a warm welcome. When James visited Qingdao, I accompanied him all the time and reported on his visit. I was deeply touched by his honesty. It has taught me a lot. I think to err is human. The important thing is to have the courage to admit and correct one’s error. Honesty is a vital quality of human behaviour. So we should try to keep an honest mind in everything we say and do. I would like to say to all of my friends: Let’s be honest people of good moral character. Thank you.

Good aftemoon, everyone !
The topic of my speech today is " Being a Good Listener". Good listening can always show
respect, promote understanding, and improve interpersonal relationship.
Many people suggest that parents should listen more to their children, so they will understand
them better, and find it easy to narrow the generation gap; teachers should listen more to their
students, then they can meet their needs better, and place themselves in a good relationship with their
students; students should listen more to their classmates, thus they will help and learn from each
other, and a friendship is likely to be formed.
What I want to stress is that each of us should listen more to others. Show your respect and never
stop others till they finish their talk. Show you are interested by a suppmtive silence or a knowing
smile. Be open-minded to different opinions even though you don't like them..ln a word, good
listening can really enable us to get closer to each other.
Thank you for your listening!

Ladies and gentlemen, good morning.
It’s my great honor to be here and i am very happy to see you all. thank you for being here. What i am going to talk about today is how to speak good english.
First of all, i’d like to talk about the importance of speaking good english and share my experience in learning english with you. As you know, english has become an international language. Wherever you go, english is always commonly used. It is convenient to know the language. At the same time, english may be the most important factor in deciding which countries are leaders in the future. the language of the most advanced management and technology is undoubtedly english. Being able to absorb this information is really the key to the new century. In the 21century. We can’t go there and speak our own language because nobody is going to learn it in order to understand us. our asian rival, india, has surged ahead of other developing countries in information technology because of its superior english skills. Unless we are able to master english, we will not be able to get our population to use it and take advantage of the new economy. There is an urgent need to have a workforce which is proficient in the language in view of the information technology onslaught.
Second, about learning english, i think laying a strong foundation is the first and most important step. In other words, you should read and speak english every day. Memorizing new words and phrases is also helpful.Of course, learning english takes some time, so don’t be impatient. Remember, rome wasn’t built in a day. And then since english is not our native tongue, we must develop the muscles of your speech organs to produce unfamiliar sounds. When you read, read as loudly as possible, as clearly as possible and as quickly as possible. tongue muscles’ Training is of importance in learning any foreign language.
Third, if you want to speak good english, please don’t care how poorly well you speak, only care about catching the chances to speak. You must enjoy losing face, just forget about your face. the more you speak, the better your english will become. The more mistakes you make, the more progress you will make. You must enjoy speaking poor english, because speaking is the only thing that will lead you towards success. don’t give up. Just try your best. every time you move your mouth, your memory will deepen, your muscles will strengthen. You can make it.
I have made a considerable amounts of public english speaking in my life, i am often asked why the crazy english method is better than other methods or if the crazy english method will help all english learners. My answer is, the method will help the english learners because it is a perfect match with the chinese principles of diligence, self-help and determination. mere exposure to english will not enable you to speak english. if you want to drive you have to get in the car and drive, if you want to dance you have to turn on the music and dance, if you want to swim you have to jump in the water and swim.In fact, swimming is the perfect comparison to learning english. You can’t learn to swim by sitting in a room and reading books about swimming skills. In order to be a swimmer you’ve got to conquer you fear, you’ve got to survive and suck in water, yell for help, you’ve got to lose face many times before you can make it. But, to be a good swimmer you’ve got to practice again and again. To be a great swimmer you have to practice for years until you can harmonize every part of your body and mind.
Finally, i want to greet you and encourage you to seize this unique opportunity to conquer english and make lifelong friends from all over our college. As you know, we are human beings ,not animals. We know what we want to do. We know our destiny is in our hands. With hard work and determination, we can do anything we set our mind to do. today, i will accompany you every minute on this unique journey. I want you to open your heart, i want you to be devoted, i want you to be crazy, i want you to forget about your face, i want to open your mouth wildly, i want you conquer your laziness and all the other human weaknesses, i want you to overcome all the obstacles that hold you back.I want to share your joy and i want to share your struggle, but most important of all, i want to share your glory and victory. We are the future of china, the future of asian, and the future of the world. We desire to win, we must win, we will win, absolutely, definitely, and without any doubt! form a painfully shy boy who felt terrible about himself, who regarded himself as human trash, a born loser, to an internationally recognized english promoter, i made it. so i strongly believe that you will make it too. I have confidence in you.

There is a saying goes,“l(fā)ife without a friend is a life without a sun”,that isTo say,F(xiàn)riendship is indispensable to people's life.
有句諺語說,“人生沒有了朋友就猶如失去了陽光”,這也就是說,友誼對人的生活是不可缺少的`。 Friendship is to our life what salt is to dasher. When you are happy, friendship is just like adding flowers on the brocade; when you are sad, friendship is a dose of consolation; if you are in trouble, friends will surround you and remove the barriers for you; if you have a hard nut to crack, you can turn to friends for help.
Every one need friends, and if you fail to make friends, you should examine yourself and see if there is something wrong with your personality. Maybe you have social faults such snobbishness, talkativeness and using slang etc. All of that will drive your new acquaintances. Whatever your social faults may be, look at them honestly and make real effort to correct them.
However, what’s actual difficult is that friendship is easier made than kept. There are several important elements necessary to maintain a good friendship.
然而,真正困難的是:友誼容易得到卻不易保持。要想維持友誼以下幾方面是必不可少的了. Listen .The ability to really listen to another is a cornerstone of good friendship. It helps you to understand your friend and his/her feelings,as well as shows that you really care. 善于傾聽。傾聽是友誼的基石,它有助于你更好的了解你的朋友同時(shí)又表示你在關(guān)心你的朋友。 Spend quality time with your friend .No relationship can be satisfying without quality time spend together.Make time for your friend, schedule get together.
與朋友相聚。沒相聚就沒友誼。所以抽點(diǎn)時(shí)間與朋友一起聚聚 Be forgiving. There is not even one person in the world who is perfect. You know your own shortcomings,so don't expect perfection from others.I'm not saying that you should always accept a wrong doing on your friend's part.Tellthem when you didn't like something and be always ready to make up afterward.Don't hold grudges in your heart. It will help your friend to be long-suffering with you as well.
Admit your faults .In every friendship there will be conflict sooner or later. When it comes, often the wrong is on both sides Admit your wrongs instead of just pointing out the wrongs of another person involved. This will help you both to keep the line of communication open and strengthen your friendship
In short, when we have established friendship, we ought to cherish and treasure it by means of words and deeds. Only thus, can we develop real friendship and keep the sacred lamp of friendship burning all our life.
簡言之,建立了友誼之后,要通過言語和行動來珍惜友誼,像愛護(hù)寶物一樣愛惜友誼。只有這樣,才能發(fā)展真正的友誼,讓神圣的友誼之燈照亮我們一生。

Everyone knows the name of Shakespeare but not much about his personal life.
Do you know how William Shakespeare lived before he went to London?
What about his family?
What were his dreams and ambitions?
What did he do when he first came to London to try his fortune?
Today, I want to introduce the early life of William Shakespeare and his great influence to the world.
Family:
Shakespeare was born and pought up in Stratford . He was the son of John Shakespeare, an alderman and a successful glover, and Mary Arden , the daughter of a landowning farmer. He had two older sisters, Joan and Judith , and two younger pothers, Gilbert and Richard.
At the age of 18, Shakespeare married 26-year-old Anne Hathaway , who was an English poet, actor and playwright.Six months after the marriage Anne gave birth to a daughter, Susanna in 1583. Twins, a son and a daughter followed almost two years later and were born in 1585. As Shakespeare had some good friends, Hamnet and Judith Sadler, he named the twins after them, so his son was calledHamnet and his daughter Judith. Unfortunately, in 1596, his son Hamnet died of unknown causes at the age of 11.
This is thefamily tree of Shakespeare’s family and this picture depicts Shakespeare as a family man surrounded by his children, who listened to his stories. Anne was portrayed at the right as an idealized housewife, sewing a garment.
Dreams and ambitions:
When Shakespeare was young, he had a dream of being a poet. With great ambition and determination, Shakespeare was diligent in his studies. He read a lot about books, poetry and writers. When he left school, he worked for his father. However, Shakespeare wasn’t interested in his father’s business. He was still reading a lot and was already writing poems himself.
In the summer months companies of players often came to small towns, and in 1587 five different companies came. Shakespeare always went to see the plays. He loved to talk to the actors and to listen to all their stories of London. He yearned for London, and therefore, he made a decision to get away from his hometown and left for London to pursue his goal.
Early life in London:
Shakespeare was good at acting. He worked for the Queen’s Men at the theatre called The Curtain up in Shoreditch. He acted four small parts in two different plays. He played a soldier and a murderer in one play, and in the other play he was a thief, and also an Italian lord in love with the Queen of the Night. And he loved it.
One day, Shakespeare met Burbage, an actor of Lord Strange ’s Men , who invited him to work with Lord Strange’s Men at the Rose theatre on Bankside. Shakespeare worked harder than ever at the Rose. By 1592 London was hearing the name William Shakespeare again and again.
After 1594, Shakespeare"s plays were performed only by the Lord Chamberlain"s Men .The Lord Chamberlain was a very important man, close to the Queen, and Shakespeare put on plays for the Queen’s court and in the houses of the great lords of England. Among the actors, Shakespeare was special-because he wrote plays. He was always trying something new, something different. And he wrote fast, too.
In 1596, His writing changed after Hamnet’s death. Shakespeare still laughed at people in his plays, but he also felt sorry for them- sorry for all the world, good and bad, rich and poor, young and old. And his people were real. No one was all good, or all bad.
These are all about Shakespeare’s early life and now I want to introduce Shakespeare’s lasting influence on
theatre and literature.
Firstly , he expanded the dramatic potential of characterization, plot, language, and genre. Until Romeo and Juliet , for example, romance had not been viewed as a worthy topic for tragedy. Soliloquies had been used mainly to convey information about characters or events; but Shakespeare used them to explore characters" minds. Secondly , his works heavily influenced later poetry . The Romantic poets attempted to revive Shakespearean verse drama, though with little success. Last but not least , his use of language helped shape modern English. He introduced almost 3,000 words to the English language and used over 7,000 words only once in his plays.
Here are some of his sayings in his well-known works.

The king wasvery old. Before he dead, he told the prince his last words,” I am very old now. The forest is our last hope. You willbe the new king. You couldn’t change the law, or a lot of monsters will come! Rememberit my son!”
And shortlyafterwards, the prince became the new king. And the country became stronger andstronger. He was a good king but he still grudged that law!
