It's my great honor to be invited here to give a speech on environment.As we all know the environment is very important to us. Because it has a great effect on us.So we should protect our environment .
In fact ,we can do many things to improve environment such as planting trees, collecting waste paper, write to the local newspapers to remind everybody to take care of it.The most important thing is,I think ,to let everybody know its importance and everybody should make a contribution to it .
As long as we try, we can make it. We strongly believe that we can do it !

Although the world develops much faster and better, the resources on theearth get fewer and fewer. In order to protect them,something must be done.
盡管世界發(fā)展得更快，更好，地球上的資源越來越少。為了保護它們，必須做些什么。
Save water. Water is the source of life. No water, no life. So it's veryimportant for us to do so.Not only should we protect drinking water and stoppolluting it, but also make full use of it.
節(jié)約用水。水是生命之源。沒有水，就沒有生命。所以，我們這樣做是非常重要的。我們不僅要保護飲用水和停止污染，而且充分利用它。
Save electricity. It is crucial. We can't imagine what the life will belike without it. Everyone should do his best to save electricity. Don't forgetto turn off lights or other electric machines when we finish working.
節(jié)約用電。這是至關(guān)重要的。我們無法想象的生活就會像沒有它。每個人都應(yīng)該盡自己的最大努力節(jié)約用電。不要忘記關(guān)燈或其他當我們完成工作的`電機。
Save forests. They are useful .Please stop cutting them down and userecycled paper instead. Make our world a green one to live in.

Recycle useful rubbish. Plenty of rubbish can be recycled like cans,paper,bottles, and so on. We can save resources in this way.

Throughout history man has changed his physical environment in order toimprove his way of life. With the tools of technology he has altered manyphysical features of the earth. He has transformed woodlands and prairies intofarms and made lakes and reserviors out of rivers for irrigation purposes orhydroelectric power. Man has also modified the face of the earth by drainingmarshes and cutting through mountains to build roads and railways.
However, man's changes to the physical environment have not always hadbeneficial results. Today, pollution of the air and water is an increasingdanger to the health of the planet. Each day thousands of tons of gases come outof the exhausts of motor vehicles. Smoke from factories pollutes the air ofindustrialized areas and the surrounding areas of the countryside. The pollutionof water is equally harmful. The whole ecological balance of the sea is beingchanged and industrial wastes have already made many rivers lifeless.
Now environmental protection is more pressing than ever before. As we know,massive destruction of environment has brought about negative effects and evenposes a great threat to man's existence. Indifference to these problems willmean committing suicide. Therefore, effective measures should be taken and lawspassed to conserve environment. Otherwise,man is certain to suffer from theserious consequences caused by this lack of care for his livingsurroundings.

There are still many problems of environmental protection in recent years. One of the most serious problems is the serious pollution of air, water and soil. the polluted air does great harm to people's health. The polluted water causes diseases and death. What is more, vegetation had been greatly reduced with the rapid growth of modern cities.
To protect the environment, governments of many countries have done a lot. Legislative steps have been introduced to control air pollution, to protect the forest and sea resources and to stop any environmental pollution. Therefore, governments are playing the most important role in the environmental protection today.
In my opinion, to protect environment, the government must take even more concrete measures. First, it should let people fully realize the importance of environmental protection through education. Second, much more efforts should be made to put the population planning policy into practice, because more people means more people means more pollution. Finally, those who destroy the environment intentionally should be severely punished. We should let them know that destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.

The resources of the earth are limited. We should cherish and cherish theseresources. So we're going to do garbage sorting, and reuse the availableresources again.
At home, remind everybody garbage classification, water bottles, cans, suchas waste paper packed together to sell, resources recycling, and made money, thewaste batteries, cartridges, etc in the recycling bins. In school, you can reuseand reuse garbage, put in two different trash cans, one is recyclable and one isunrecyclable. Learn from your classmates and discuss ways to classify rubbish.In the suburbs, we will use two bags to classify garbage, pick up the garbagethat we see and classify it, so that it is the best young pioneers. This allowsyou to easily categorize.
Everyone is sorting garbage, and the earth is beautiful. We will see thethick wood, the clear water, the blue sky and the blue sea, everyone has a sweetsmile.
地球的資源是有限的，我們要好好地愛護和珍惜這些資源。所以我們要進行垃圾分類，再次利用這些可用的資源。
在家里，提醒大家進行垃圾分類，把礦泉水瓶，易拉罐，廢紙等裝在一起拿去賣，資源再利用了，又賺了錢，把廢電池，墨盒等放到不可回收的垃圾桶里。在學校，就把可以再次利用和不能再次利用的垃圾，放在不同的兩個垃圾桶，一個是可回收，一個是不可回收。
和同學學習，討論垃圾分類的的方法。在郊外，我們要用兩個袋子進行垃圾分類，把看到的垃圾撿起來，進行分類，這樣才是優(yōu)秀的少先隊員。這樣就可以輕輕松松的進行分類了。
人人都進行垃圾分類，地球就變得美麗了。我們就會看到茂密的樹林，清澈見底的湖水，蔚藍的天空和藍藍的大海，人人都露出甜甜的笑臉。

It is very important to deal with the rubbish in cities. Rubbish must bethrown away or reused properly. Or it may cause a lot of problems. It maypollute the air and water. People may get ill when they breathe the polluted airor drink the polluted water.
Our city has started to face the problem. Some rubbish is sorted and sentto a certain place .Waste gas is cleaned before it goes into the air. Wastewater is also cleaned before it is poured into rivers.
People should be prevented from throwing rubbish everywhere. We should tryour best to take care of our environment and fight against pollution.

The Yangzte River is the longest river in China. And it's important andhelpful to us Chinese. But these days the Yangtze River is bringing us seriousfloods.
Many villages were destroyed by floods. The floods made hundreds ofmillions of people lose their homes, relatives and friends. Many children can'tgo to school as usual .Now the foods have drawn the attention of the wholeworld. People from abroad have offered their help too. In China, millions ofsoldiers are busy fighting against the floods. They are working very hard. Manyof them have lost their lives in their attempt to save the villagers.
Though we can't help them to fight against floods, we should help them torebuild their homeland. We can present them our pocketmoney and clothes. Ibelieve most of the people will return to their homeland in the near future.

What is nature? It's everything that exists in the world independently of people, such as pants and animals, earth and rocks, and the weather.
Now more and more people are focusing on the nature. It is no doubt that the nature is important to every human being. No nature, no life. Because of the supplies of the nature, we have lived happily for a long time. And we started to gain every thing available from the nature. And this lasted so long a time. Today, people have discovered that the nature around is getting worse and worse.
What is threatening the nature? Air and water pollution, overharvesting of plant and animal species, overpopulation and so on. Overpopulation is the biggest source of pollution. Let's take overpopulation as an example.
What does overpopulation feel like? When we move slowly through the city in a tazi. When we enter a crowded slum district. When the temperature is high and when the air is thick with dust and smoke. The streets are crowded with people. The streets seem alive with people. People eating. People washing. People talking. People sleeping. People visiting each other, arguing and screaming. People relieving themselves. People pushing their hands through the taxi windows, begging. People leading animals. People, people, people, people. As we drive slowly through the crowd, sounding the taxi's horn, the dust, heat, noise and cooking fires made it like a scene from hell! I admit, frightening.
To the nature, overpopulation is a big problem. More people, more pollution. And the big population is threatening the nature every second.
The rapid rise in world population is not creating problems only for the developing countries. The whole world faces the problem that raw materials are being used up at an increasing rate and food production can not keep up with the population increase. People in rich countries make the heaviest demands on the world's resources, its food, fuel and land, and cause the most pollution. A baby born in the United States will use in his lifetime 30 times more of the world's resources than a baby born in India. Unless all the countries of the world take united action to deal with the population explosion there will be more and more people fighting for a share of less and less land, food and fuel, and the future will bring poverty, misery and war to us all.
For most of the developing countries, it is a good idea to control the population growth. For example, China has carried out birth control for years. And this plan has a great effect on the world population.
If the population continues to increase, if the air and water continue to be polluted, if we don't do something to protect wild-plant and wildlife species will be declining. Species and biological communities have difficulty adapting to change. Economic opportunities and the quality of life of future generations are also put at risk. By protecting nature, we protect ourselves.
Let's unite together, hand in hand we stand all across the land.
We can make this world in which to live. Hand in hand. Control the population growth. Take good care of our nature.
