(常用于糾正別人) 應(yīng)該,應(yīng)當(dāng); (提出或征詢建議) 該,可以; (表示預(yù)期) 應(yīng)該會(huì),可能;
二.should的'用法
1、表示“應(yīng)該,應(yīng)當(dāng)”
He should work harder.
他應(yīng)該更加努力。
You should help your mother with the housework.
你應(yīng)該幫你母親做家務(wù)。
Crime should be punished.
犯罪應(yīng)受懲罰。
Should I wear a coat?
我要穿大衣嗎?
2、表示“可能,該(=will probably) ”
He should arrive soon.
他可能很快就到了。
The train should have already left.
火車大概已經(jīng)走了。
3、表示“萬一”
If it should rain tomorrow, don’t expect me.
萬一明天下雨,就不要等我了。
4、表示“竟然”
It’s strange that he should be late.
真奇怪,他竟會(huì)遲到。
5、表示粗暴地拒絕一項(xiàng)建議、要求或指示
What time does the film start?
電影什么時(shí)候開始?
How should I know?
我怎么知道?
Ann’s very unhappy.
安非常不高興。
Could your wife help us in the office tomorrow?
你妻子明天能到辦公室來幫幫我們嗎?
6、should加完成式:should have done表示“本應(yīng)該做某事,但事實(shí)上卻沒有做”;shouldn’t have done表示“本不該做某事,但事實(shí)上卻做了”。如:
You should have got up earlier. 你本應(yīng)該早點(diǎn)起的。
You shouldn’t have told him about it. 你本不該把這件事告訴他的。
