The main focus of attention during the Spring Festival is undoubtedly "Grabbing red envelopes".
A large number of people joined the wave of grabbing red envelopes by touching screens and clicking mouses frantically. Even the host of the Spring Festival Gala couldn't help but say "It is estimated that almost everyone is occupied in shaking their mobile phones for electronic red envelopes."
There is no denying that this activity has endowed the Spring Festival's atmosphere with the flavour of high-tech and fun.
However, some people may be trapped in a situation where they put the cart before the horse. For elders, Spring Festival has been a time of family reunion. Unfortunately, things went contrary to their wishes. The young members are always fixing their eyes on the screen instead of communicating with them, which is quite disappointing. The young seem to ignore the connotation of the traditional festival. It was for the very reason that the elders think the Spring Festival's atmosphere began to decline.
Network is a double-edged sword. We can make use of it to keep up to times, or relax ourselves. But all of us aren't supposed to sacrifice the time which should be otherwise spent together with our family due to the addiction to network. Anyhow, family is above anything and we should value it a lot.
With the growing of the Internet, the biggest highlight of the Spring Festival is to grab red envelopes on line.
Wechat’s gaining popularity helped Tencent took a head start in the combat with Alibaba, the leader of the Internet payment. What’s behind this was shrinking traditional customs: fireworks were no longer welcomed by the people. Instead, there needs a new custom to fill the blank. Grabbing red envelopes on line attracted thousands of people to join in by its fast, brand-new, and thrilling way to entertain. Sadly, what young people who traveled a long distance to go back home did during the Festival was not to communicate with the elders but to hold their cellphones all day long , just in order to grab red envelopes and get some money. In this case, we can say missing is better than seeing.
However, the custom of grabbing red envelopes which represents a good wish to the young has lost its real meaning. That is to say, what really matters is the relationship instead of the money.Essentially speaking, this phenomenon of grabbing red envelopes on line resulted from the heat love between money and the Internet. It’s the carnival of materialism, and nobody won except the Internet.
On New Year's Eve,our class had a party. The atmosphere was good. It was out of the ordinary from the very begining. The boy student from one bedroom gave an unusual performance. We saw a boy named Li Xinmin turn off all the lights in a sudden snap. Then with three resounding(響亮的) crow of a cock echoing in the hall,the hall was again brightly lit in a snap.
Then,the representative of the bedroom Zhu Guozhang asked us to guess a line of a poem related to the above situation. He added that Li Xinmin alone was born in the year of the dog and the other three were all born in the year of the chicken. They left us all in confusion. And it was our monitor who was quickwitted(機智的). He shouted our, "The day breaks as the cock crows three times at dawn." The hall After that,they had another item. This time Li Xinmin was placed in the middle of the circle. While he was standing there,the other three stood around him,each bowing down to him at an angle of 120 degrees. It was an idiom. This time I got it right:"The dog stands out among a group of chickens."
My dog will be dead. She is very old. We have kept her for ten years. Now her hairs are falling. And she always lies on the ground. She can’t see very clearly. She eats a little. She becomes thin. She was very strong before. She is still guarding my family. She is one of my family member. Now we are all uneasy because she will die. I think you may know my thinking. Even if it is a dog, you can’t forget it. So these days, we feet her the best food.
The night before the examination
The clock struck eleven at night. The whole house was quiet. Everyone was in bed except me. Under the strong light, I looked gloomily before me at a huge pile of that disgusting stuff they call“books”.
I was going to have my examination the next day. “Whencan I go to bed ” I asked myself. I did not answer. In fact I dared not.
The clock struck 12.“Oh, dear!”I cried. “Ten more books to read before I can go to bed!”We students are the most wretched creatures in the world.

表并列或遞進: and, both…and...,neither…nor, not only…but also...;
表選擇: or, either…or;
表轉(zhuǎn)折或讓步: but,although, though, however, even though, in spite of, on the contrary;
表對比: like, unlike, while;
表舉例: for example, such as, that's to say;
表強調(diào): in fact, of course, besides;
表時間順序: when, after, before,as soon as, soon,after;
表因果關(guān)系: because, since, as, for, for this reason,as a result;
表結(jié)論: in a word, to sum up,in summary, in conclusion, on the whole.
There be…;the more…the more…;It’s adj for sb to do something;I think/believe/suppose…(賓從); It can’t be put into realexperiment.(被動)等。
