Dear Jack, Are you OK?Are you still handsome as before? Are you alive?Do you remember me?Can you come back to have a look at me?I miss you. I know you will never be back.As the ship sank and eventually disappeared,as you frose because of the cold sea water,as you could not let out any sound.I realized I would not have an opportunity to spend my rest of life with you forever.I have lost you.
Over the years,I have been missing you day and night.I cannot help thinking of the time I spended with you. Once you said:‘I am king of the world!’.Now I want to say:‘ You are king of my heart!’Staring at the rough sea that ever ate up you,I burst into anger, but I calm down quickly when your face comes into my mind.I know you are kind and warm-hearted. I miss the time on board.Y taught me how to dance and how to possess freedom. Thanks to you,I experienced the happiest days in my life; Thanks to you,I knew the meaning of happiness. All because of you. If things did not get worse, maybe we can be with forever.I will never forget every minute I spent with you and keep it in my mind deeply.I hope you know there is a girl named Rose missing you.I hope you know there is a girl named Rose regarding you as the most important person in her life. Jack, can you come back just? A short time though you will stay,it doesnt matter. Hope Sincerely Rose

Dear Jack,I’m glad to know you’re interested in Chinese Calligraphy. It’s my pleasure to tell you how to learn Chinese calligraphy.
As we all know, the four treasures of the study are writing brush, ink, paper and ink stone, which are essential to learn Chinese calligraphy. As to the way to learn it, I think, for one thing, you may study the basic structure of each Chinese charACTer step by step;for another, choosing a good model book to copy is of GREat benefit to you.
Chinese calligraphy is a fine art of the excellent traditional cultures in China. Not only does it do good to health, but also it can cultivate morality and purify our souls.
Hoping you can come to China to enjoy it personally.
Yours,Li Hua

The Old Cat
An old woman had a cat. The cat was very old; she could not run quickly, and she could not bite, because she was so old. One day the old cat saw a mouse; she jumped and caught the mouse. But she could not bite it; so the mouse got out of her mouth and ran away, because the cat could not bite it.
Then the old woman became very angry because the cat had not killed the mouse. She began to hit the cat. The cat said, "Do not hit your old servant. I have worked for you for many years, and I would work for you still, but I am too old. Do not be unkind to the old, but remember what good work the old did when they were young."

Once upon a mountain top, three little trees stood and dreamed of what they wanted to become when they grew up. The first little tree looked at the stars and said,“I want to hold treasure. I want to be covered with gold and filled with precious stones. I will be the most beautiful treasure chest in the world!”
The second little tree looked out at the small stream trickling by on its way to the ocean.“I want to be traveling mighty waters and carrying powerful kings. I‘ll be the strongest ship in the world!”
The third little tree looked down into the valley below where busy men and women worked in the busy town.“I don‘t want to leave theh mountain top at all. I want to grow so tall that when people look at me,they’ll raise their eyes to heaven and think of God. I will be the tallest tree in the world.”
Years passed. The rains came, the sun shone and the three little trees grew tall. One day three woodcutters climbed the mountain. The first woodcutter looked at the first tree and said,“This tree is beautiful. It is perfect for me.”With a swoop of his shining axe,the first tree fell.“Now I shall be made into a beautiful chest,I shall hold wonderful treasure,”the first tree said.
The second woodcutter looked at the second tree and said,“This tree is strong,it is perfect for me.”With a swoop of his shining axe the second tree fell.“Now I shall sail mighty waters,”thought the second tree.“I shall be a strong ship for mighty kinds! The third tree felt her heart sink when the last woodcutter looked her way. She stood straight and tall and pointed bravely to heaven. But the woodcutter never even looked up.“Any kind of tree will do for me,”he muttered. With a swoop of his shining axe the third tree fell. The first tree rejoiced when the woodcutter brought her to a carpenters shop, but the carpenter fashioned her into a feedbox for animals. The once beautiful tree was not covered with gold nor with treasure. She was coated in sawdust and filled with hay for hungry farm animals. The second tree smiled when the woodcutter took her to a shipyard, but no mighty sailing ship was made that day. Instead the once strong tree was hammered and saved into a simple fishing boat. She was too small and too weak to sail to an ocean,or even a river, instead she was taken to a little lake.
The third tree was confused when the woodcutter cut her into strong beams and left her in a lumberyard.“”What happened,“the once tall tree wondered?”All I ever wanted was to stay on the mountain top and point to God.“
Many, many days and nights passed. The three trees nearly forgot their dreams. But one night golden starlight poured over the first tree as a woman and her husband whispered. The mother squeezed his hand and smiled as the starlight shone on the smooth and sturdy wood.“This manger is beautiful,”she said. And suddenly the first tree knew that he was holding the greatest treasure in the world. One evening a tired traveler and his friends crowded into the old fishing boat The traveler fell asleep as the second tree sailed quietly out into the lake. Soon a thundering and thrashing storm arose. The little tree shuddered, she knew she didn‘t have the strength to carry so many passengers safely through the wind and the rain. The tired man awakened. He stood up,stretched out his hand and said,“Peace.”The storm stopped as quickly as it had begun. And suddenly the second tree knew that he was carrying the king of heaven and earth. One Friday morning, the third tree was startled when her beams were yanked from the forgotten woodpile. She flinched as she was carried through an angry jeering crowd. She shuddered when soldieries nailed a man‘s hands to her. She felt ugly harsh and cruel. But,on Sunday morning, when the sun rose and the earth trembled with joy beneath her,the third tree knew that God’love had changed everything. It had made the third tree strong. And every time people thought of the third tree, they would think of God. That was better than being the tallest tree in the world. So the next time you feel down because you didn‘t get what you wanted, just sit tight and be happy because God is thinking of something better to give you. Angie Hunt

In my dual profession as an educator and health care provider, I have worked with numerous children infected with the virus that causes AIDS. The relationships that I have had with these special kids have been gifts in my life. They have taught me so many things, but I have especially learned that great courage can be found in the smallest of packages. Let me tell you about Tyler.
Tyler was born infected with HIV: his mother was also infected. From the very beginning of his life, he was dependent on medications to enable him to survive. When he was five, he had a tube surgically ed in a vein in his chest. This tube was connected to a pump, which he carried in a small backpack on his back. Medications were hooked up to this pump and were continuously supplied through this tube to his bloodstream. At times, he also needed supplemented oxygen to support his breathing.
Tyler wasn’t willing to give up one single moment of his childhood to this deadly disease. It was not unusual to find him playing and racing around his backyard, wearing his medicine-laden backpack and dragging his tank of oxygen behind him in his little wagon. All of us who knew Tyler marveled at his pure joy in being alive and the energy it gave him. Tyler’s mom often teased him by telling him that he moved so fast she needed to dress him in red. That way, when she peered through the window to check on him playing in the yard, she could quickly spot him.
This dreaded disease eventually wore down even the likes of a little dynamo like Tyler. He grew quite ill and, unfortunately, so did his HIV-infected mother. When it became apparent that he wasn’t going to survive, Tyler’s mom talked to him about death. She comforted him by telling Tyler that she was dying too, and that she would be with him soon in heaven.
A few days before his death, Tyler beckoned me over to his hospital bed and whispered, “I might die soon. I’m not scared. When I die, please dress me in red. Mom promised she’s coming to heaven, too. I’ll be playing when she gets there, and I want to make sure she can find me.”

This poem is about someone whom I deeply cared about. The feelings were never returned, but I learned that with or without his love, I could make it and always remain strong and happy. Words of wisdom come to my ears, Telling me what I know in my heart, But never wanted to hear. With the truth finally said and out in the open for me to plainly see,
I wonder why I can love so deeply but never had that love returned back to me. I confessed the feelings that I held inside for so long, But with his soft- hearted rejection, I realize I have to be strong. With tears that want to flow from my eyes, I feel that my heart, along with my composure, slowly dies. While this dramatic side is showing through with my ability to question and reason, I think I may have found something in me that I can believe in. Love hurts . . .
Thats what they all say,But I will love again when all this pain and sorrow goes away. So I sit and think of all the things this situation has cost,And I realize that nothing very important has been lost. Instead, a learning experience has come from all this.
Ive learned that hardly anything is more important than my happiness.
Youre listening to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, Im Faith. No matter who you are, where you are, at the end of todays program, I wish every one of us is learning to be stronger.

Have you ever done something silly that made you feel so embarrassed? Well, I had a really bad Saturday morning.
I went shopping last week, on my way home, it began to rain. I quickly ran into a nearby phone box because I didnt have an umbrella. It was raining hard and I decided to stay in the phone box until it stopped. A few minutes later, I saw a young man walk up to the phone box, wearing a yellow raincoat and holding a tool box. I didn’t want to go out into the rain, so I picked up the phone and pretended I was talking to someone. I thought he would go away, but he didnt. He just waited in the heavy rain, watching me wave my hands about and act as if I was deep in conversation.
Luckily, the rain stopped after about ten minutes. “OK, Mum,”I said loudly into the phone.
“Ill see you later. Bye!” I put the phone down and went out of the phone box.
“Im sorry to keep you waiting for so long.”I said to the man.
“Oh, I dont want to use the phone,”he replied. “Ive just come to repair it. It doesnt work.”
My face turned red and I quickly ran off with my head down. That was certainly the most embarrassing time of my life.

As everyone knows, English is very important today. It has been used everywhere in the world. It has become the most common language on Internet. If we can speak English well, we will have more chance to succeed. Because more and more people have taken notice of it, the number of the people who go to learn English has increased at a high speed. But for myself, I learn English not only because of its importance and its usefulness, but also because of my love for it. When I learn English, I can feel a different way of thinking which gives me more room to touch the world. When I read English novels, I can feel the pleasure from the book which is different from reading the translation. When I speak English, I can feel the confident from my words.
When I writeEnglish, I can see the beauty which is not the same as our Chinese... I love English, it gives me a colorful dream. I hope I can travel around the world one day. With my good English, I can make friends with many people from different contries. I can see many places of great intrests. I dream that I can go to London, because it is the birth place of English. I also want to use my good English to introduce our great places to the English spoken people, I hope that they can love our country like us. I know, Rome was not built in a day. I believe that after continuous hard study, one day I can speak English very well. If you want to be loved, you should learn to love and be lovable. So I believe as I love Englisheveryday, it will love me too. I am sure that I will realize my dream one day! Thank you!
