《Mid-autumn Festival》教學設計

一、內(nèi)容簡介:

該課為修訂版JEFC第二冊《Unit 3》的補充和延伸,主要讓學生對我國的傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日中秋節(jié)有一個較為全面和深層的了解。該單元的內(nèi)容雖然對中秋有所提及, 但偏重語法知識的訓練,對有助于學生文化理解的背景知識鋪展略顯不足,使學生無法深入理解和感受到中國傳統(tǒng)文化的魅力。因此設計了該堂研究性學習課,讓學生在掌握Unit3基礎知識的前提下進行一次網(wǎng)絡探究,借助專題學習網(wǎng)站和Internet進行自主學習。

二、教學目的:

①通過上網(wǎng)搜索和探究有關中秋節(jié)的知識,培養(yǎng)學生獲取信息、處理信息以及表達的能力。

②培養(yǎng)學生運用Powerpoint等平臺發(fā)表觀點等技能。

三、教學重、難點:

教學重點:通過對中秋節(jié)相關知識的探究,使學生感受網(wǎng)絡學習的新理念,培養(yǎng)個體探究及協(xié)作互助的優(yōu)秀品質(zhì)。

本課的難點來自兩個方面:一是學生的語言和信息技術問題,初二的學生英語水平不高,信息能力也不是很理想,因此要完成這樣的探究對他們來說是挑戰(zhàn)。二是觀念問題,“網(wǎng)絡學習”和“研究性學習”對于農(nóng)村學生來說都是新概念,如何轉(zhuǎn)變觀念,調(diào)整和變革自己的學習方式和策略又是本課的另一突破口。

四、課前準備:

教師:

1、準備好學生搜集材料的相關網(wǎng)站,制作一個能導引學生順利開展探究的專題學習網(wǎng)站。

2、申請一個留言板方便學生交流信息,并直接與專題網(wǎng)站鏈接。

3、將學生分成8組,每組四人,要求他們按照各自的特長和興趣選擇組內(nèi)的角色并適當進行一些技術訓練和指導。

學生:

1、初步學習使用Powerpoint發(fā)表觀點的方法和竅門。(學生在信息技術課上已學過了基本方法,教師的專題學習網(wǎng)站上也有相關的鏈接頁面指點。)

2、學習用帖子發(fā)表觀點。(要用本名)

3、每組同學經(jīng)過討論選取本組將要研究的問題,并制定研究方案。

4、在本機電腦的E盤中建立文件夾,供搜集材料用。

五、學習過程:

本課的專題學習網(wǎng)站借用WebQuest的設計理念。這是因為Webquest作為一種網(wǎng)絡教學的工具,能充分體現(xiàn)建構主義的教育理念,并且它所提供的模板流程清晰明了,便于學生和老師操作。問題采用“拾荒式”探究的辦法,利于學生迅速地篩選和獲取信息,準確地鑒別信息的真?zhèn)巍?/p>

1、引言(Introduction)

Tom is a boy from the USA. His parents are working in China now. Next year he will come to China to study here. Now he's doing a class project(課程計劃) about China. He gave me an email last week. He said he wanted to know something about our Mid-autumn Festival. Could you please give me a hand and tell him about it?

(湯姆是一個美國男孩。他的父母親現(xiàn)在中國工作。明年他也將要來中國讀書。所以他正忙著做課程準備。上星期他給我發(fā)了一封電子郵件。他說他想了解有關我國中秋的知識,并問了許多的問題,你能幫我一起來答復他嗎?)

2、任務(Task)

1.To confirm(確定) your partners, make sure that you like this group, think of an English name for your group. Choose an actor in your group as Organizer(管理員),Translator(翻譯), Editor(編輯) and Journalist depending on your strong suit and interest.

As an Organizer you should form(組織) the members in your group to develop the study favorably(順利地).

As a translator you should learn to express your ideas in English with the words and phrases we learnt before, and if you meet new words you can also use the dictionary online to help you.

As an Editor, first you should learn how to make a ppt file.Then try to design and make your ppt works as beautifully as you can. If you haven't known the skill of Powerpoint, you may click here for help.

As a Journalist, you should first make a plan for your research(調(diào)查). Search slight materials(搜索詳盡的資料) from the internet, and keep them your computer. Form the materials and write out the report of your topic.

(首先你們根據(jù)平時的相互了解確定分組,為你們的小組取個英文名上報老師,在你們的小組成果里署上你們的英文名字,各人根據(jù)自己的特長和愛好進行小組分工,老師給你們的建議是:你們需要一個管理員、一個記者、一個編輯和一個翻譯。

管理員必須能善于協(xié)調(diào)各成員之間的關系,對每一步行動要精心組織分配,以保證研究的順利進行。

記者要根據(jù)你們小組的選題,善于利用網(wǎng)絡或其它手段搜集盡可能詳盡的資料,并對這些資料進行整合和歸類,然后擬訂成果匯報的方案。

作為編輯首先要擅長使用Powerpoint,然后盡快設計和制作出你們的成果作品來。

翻譯要善于運用學過的詞匯和句型表達信息,并善于借助各類翻譯軟件學習新詞。)

Topic Four: What did people do in the past when they couldn't get together with their families? However what do people usually do now?
