一、教學(xué)目標(biāo)與要求

本單元是總復(fù)習(xí)。重點(diǎn)復(fù)習(xí)從19至23單元中所出現(xiàn)的語(yǔ)法項(xiàng)目和日常交際用語(yǔ)。學(xué)生應(yīng)能在理解上述內(nèi)容的基礎(chǔ)上,熟練地運(yùn)用這些語(yǔ)言知識(shí),較為流利地進(jìn)行表達(dá)。教師要重視學(xué)生的筆頭能力,重視學(xué)生綜合運(yùn)用英語(yǔ)的能力。通過(guò)對(duì)課文的學(xué)習(xí),學(xué)生能用自己組織的語(yǔ)言,將課文復(fù)述;正確完成練習(xí)冊(cè)安排的練習(xí),為總復(fù)習(xí)打好基礎(chǔ)。

Ⅱ.課堂教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)

1.向?qū)W生提出下列問(wèn)題:1) What would you say if you want to say goodbye to some-body?2) What would you say if you have enjoyed your stay at a place? 3) What would you say if you wish somebody success?4) What would you say if you are satisfied with someone’s work?

2.準(zhǔn)備放對(duì)話錄音。借助投影片打出以下聽前提問(wèn):1) When is Susan leaving? 2) How long has Susan studied in China?

放錄音一至兩遍,請(qǐng)學(xué)生回答上述問(wèn)題,教師予以必要訂正。

1) She is leaving on Sunday.2) She has studied in China for two years.

3.再次放對(duì)話錄音,學(xué)生跟讀。將學(xué)生分為三人一組練習(xí)對(duì)話。數(shù)分鐘后,請(qǐng)兩三組同

(二)閱讀理解課

Ⅰ.教具 錄音機(jī)、投影儀。

Ⅱ.課堂教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)

1.檢查生詞及短語(yǔ)(為教學(xué)方便,可考慮將兩課并為一課進(jìn)行閱讀理解)。

2.教師給出讀前提問(wèn):1) What are Zheng Jie’s future plans?2) What’s the biggest prob-lem with his plan? 3) When did Zheng Jie first meet Gary?

教師給學(xué)生數(shù)分鐘,要求學(xué)生快速閱讀課文,之后請(qǐng)同學(xué)回答上述問(wèn)題。

One possible version:

Mr.Brain went to hear Zheng Jie’s piano concert.He thought it was a great success and congratulated him. Then he asked him about his next plans. The pianist said that he was planning to start a school,where disabled children could go and learn music.He also said it was difficult to get enough money.Mr.Brain promised that he would ring him if he could find any support.About two weeks later,Zheng Jie went to London and paid a visit to Mr.Brain.Gary, the son of Mr. Brain, opened the door.When he recognized who Zheng Jie was, he was very excited. He told his father that it was this pianist that helped him out when he was in paris,earning a living as a painter.And he also mentioned that the pianist had lent him some money,but he had not repaid him.Later Dr. Brain told the pianist that he would like to support his music school and he had written a cheque for him, which had six zeros.

四、難句分析

1.It’s a pity you missed the sports meeting last week.很可惜,上周的運(yùn)動(dòng)會(huì)你錯(cuò)過(guò)了。

It’s a pity(that)…是表示遺憾的交際用語(yǔ),口語(yǔ)中that?墒÷浴@纾

It’s a pity I couldn’t come to your birthday party.很遺憾我沒能來(lái)參加你的生日聚會(huì)。

It’s a pity he didn’t finish college.他沒念完大學(xué),真是遺憾。

2… none of the banks I spoke to were interested……我去找過(guò)的銀行沒有一家感興趣。

I spoke to是定語(yǔ)從句,修飾先行詞 banks,引導(dǎo)這個(gè)定語(yǔ)從句的關(guān)系代詞 which/that被省略了。

句中 none是代詞,意為:沒有一個(gè),相當(dāng)于: no one,常構(gòu)成none of…詞組。表示“(在……中)沒有一個(gè)人/物”或“(在……中)一個(gè)也沒有”的意思。當(dāng)這個(gè)詞組作主語(yǔ)時(shí),后面的謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞既可用單數(shù),也可以用復(fù)數(shù)。但在側(cè)重表示“所有的人/物都不……”時(shí),多用復(fù)數(shù)形式(如本句用were),而在表示“其中一個(gè)也不……”時(shí),用單數(shù)形式更多些。例如:

None of us are perfect.我們大家都不是十全十美的。

None of them is from Beijing.他們這些人中沒有一個(gè)是北京人。

None of the machines are made in China.這些機(jī)器全都不是中國(guó)造的。

None of the machines is good enough.這些機(jī)器中沒有一臺(tái)是夠好的。

但是,在很多情況下,這種界線并不很清楚,因此,單復(fù)數(shù)兩種形式都可以用。例如:

None of his friends has/have ever been to London.他的朋友中沒有一個(gè)去過(guò)倫敦。(或:他的朋友全都沒有去過(guò)倫敦。)

None of the telephones is/are working.這些電話沒有一部能用。(或:這些電話全都不能用。)

3. You remember my friend who helped me out?你記得曾經(jīng)幫助我擺脫困境的那位朋友嗎?

這是一個(gè)用陳述句語(yǔ)序構(gòu)成的疑問(wèn)問(wèn)(=Do you remember my friend…?),讀時(shí)句末用升調(diào)。這種句式通常只在口語(yǔ)中使用。例如:

You want to know whyI’m leaving?你想知道我為什么要走嗎?

You know who he is?你知道他是誰(shuí)嗎?

短語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞 help out 意為:幫忙(做某事;克服困難等)。例如:
