sure一詞既可用作形容詞，又可用作副詞。下面談?wù)勊挠梅ǎ?
一、 sure用作形容詞，意為“肯定的；當(dāng)然的；有把握的”。例如： 1. be sure（不接其它詞），意為“肯定的”。例如：
Are you sure? 你能肯定嗎？
I think he is coming, but I'm not quite sure. 我想他要來(lái)，但我不十分肯定。
2. be sure to do sth. 表示要求，意為“務(wù)必做某事；請(qǐng)一定做某事”，多用于祈使句。例如：
Be sure to telephone me and give me all the news. 請(qǐng)一定要給我打電話，讓我知道所有的消息。
be sure to do sth. 還可表示一種推斷，意為“一定做某事；肯定做某事”。例如：
The child is sure to be a teacher. 這孩子一定會(huì)成為一名教師。
You are sure to win. 你（們）肯定會(huì)贏。
3. be sure of / about (doing) sth. 表示人對(duì)某事（物）的看法，意為“對(duì)……有把握”。其后常接名詞、代詞或動(dòng)詞-ing形式。例如：
Are you sure of passing the exam? 你有把握通過(guò)考試嗎？
I'm not sure about English grammar. 我對(duì)英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)法沒(méi)有把握。
4. be sure+從句，意為“確信”。例如：
I'm not sure that he will come. 我不確信他會(huì)來(lái)。
二、sure用作副詞，意為“當(dāng)然；的確；一定”。例如：
1. 常用來(lái)回答一般疑問(wèn)句，意為“當(dāng)然；的確”，相當(dāng)于yes或certainly。例如：
-Are you going with us? 你和我們一起去嗎？
-Sure. 當(dāng)然啦。
2. make sure意為“查明；弄清楚”。其后可接of， about或that從句。例如：
You should make sure of the time. 你應(yīng)該把時(shí)間弄清楚
