content: 本模塊主題為美洲的土著人,引入了與此有關的詞匯。要求學生了解上述內(nèi)容并掌握有關詞匯,培養(yǎng)學生的語言技能。

4. topic: 能夠復述課文并表達自己的情感;能夠使用本模塊的詞匯討論種族問題并表達自己的態(tài)度。

aim: 1. to know something about the new words of subjects.該部分包含兩個活動,引入了對美洲發(fā)展有影響的人物哥倫布。教師可以通過組織學生對哥倫布有關情況的討論,引起學生對美洲歷史和文化的興趣,展開有關的語言時間活動。
2. the techniques of reading like the scanning ,the skimming ,the key words.該部分閱讀材料介紹了美洲的歷史和她們當今的生活狀況。圍繞著課文,編者設計了五個與課文內(nèi)容和詞匯有關的練習。通過練習,學生可以了解這些詞匯。
procedure: (一) introduction
step1. warming up
1. who were the first people to live in america?
2. what do you know about christopher columbus?
3. do you think columbus discovered america? why or why not?
4. do you think columbus is a very important person in american history? why or why not?
by asking these questions to help the students to review the information.
step 1 : look at the map in the text. what map is it? which major countries is america made up of? who first came to live this continent?
